The first REME magazine was published after the end of hostilities, in January 1946. Since then it has flourished into the monthly publication known throughout the Corps ‘family’.
The print run is approximately 6300, with a readership estimated at over 20,000 personnel in 30 countries worldwide. Copies are distributed to all units with REME soldiers on strength; members of the REME Institution and REME Associations; subscribers; potential officers and various external organisations, including Allied Corps overseas, engineering institutions and many more.
We welcome articles including photographs, from any serving or former member, of any rank, who has a story to tell.
The magazine comprises a wide variety of current REME articles and news under the headings Features, Operations and Exercises, Sports and Adventurous Training and Regulars to keep readers up to date. In addition, there are sections covering REME Association news, a ‘Where Are You Now?’ column for those wishing to contact friends from the past, Death Notices and Obituaries also publicity for forthcoming reunions and events.
