You've guessed it, for the third year running we're bringing the amazing world of Sci-Fi and its multiple universes to life at the Museum! Join us on 31 August 2024 for an unforgettable day out!

Featuring:

• Iconic memorabilia from your favourite Sci-Fi franchises including Star Wars, Dr Who, Star Trek and more!
• A fantastical atmosphere created by 'real life' creatures from Sci-Fi worlds, as they roam the museum's galleries.
• Special guests making appearances, signing autographs and offering exclusive photo opportunities.

We sold out last year, so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment! Don't miss out on this extraordinary day out!

Cosplay

Calling all Sci-Fi fans and cosplay enthusiasts, come and be part of the excitement by dressing up as your favourite character or simply in your most 'out of this world' outfit!

We'll be joining you in the fun, helping to make our galleries feel like another world.

Prop Displays

Are these the droids you're looking for? And is it really bigger on the inside? Discover the infinite possibilities of Sci-Fi through film props and set design.

Here are some examples of props we've seen at the previous two Sci-Fi Day events. Though we can't make guarantees, expect similar props this year, plus there'll be new ones to make sure there's always something new to see!

If you're wondering how to find us... this is the way.

Free parking is available in our large car park, including Blue Badge spaces on a first-come-first-served basis. We ask that you please reserve a parking space if you need one in advance! Once the parking spaces are gone, they're gone! If you can, please consider travelling by alternative means.

Crown's Cafe will be serving treats that are out-of-this-world! From hot barista-style drinks to sandwiches, quiches and cakes, you'll find something for everyone to enjoy. Since this is a ticket-only event, the cafe and play park will be closed to general visitors without a ticket on this day.

Dogs are welcome on the Museum grounds but are not allowed inside the building, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Tickets

Tickets are available for morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday 31 August and should be booked online in advance. We sold out last year, so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment! 

Your booking confirmation will include details of timings for arrival and departure, we ask that you please adhere to these, especially the departure time, due to health and safety restrictions and limited parking spaces.
