Crown’s Cafe at REME Museum
The Crowns Cafe will open as usual until the 21st December when it will shut for Christmas. It will reopen on the 2nd January 2019.
Crowns Cafe is on the edge of the REME base in Lyneham, serving the staff working on the base, the museum and members of the general public.
In a relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy breakfast rolls, pastries, homemade cakes, cookies, scones, fresh Barista coffees, tea and cold drinks.
We open from 9.30 until 4.30 Monday to Saturday. Hot food is served between the hours of 10.00am and 2.30pm, including freshly made sandwiches, baguettes, Paninis, children’s menu and changing daily lunch specials.
Security passes are not needed to visit the café & Museum as we are the public side of the security barriers.
Access to the Cafe is through the Museum entrance. You do not need to visit the museum to use the café, although a visit is highly recommended.
In good weather, you can enjoy your food and drink outside, making use of our outdoor seating area.
We welcome visits from clubs and groups such as cyclists or classic car enthusiasts, but if there are large numbers, some advance notice will help us to ensure we can serve you quickly. There is ample parking at the museum.
There is also a conference room and education suite, which can be booked through the Museum. We can provide various food options for those who make use of these facilities.
