THE
CRAFTSMAN
MAGAZINE

REME Logo

THE MAGAZINE OF THE
CORPS OF ROYAL ELECTRICAL
AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
AND THE REME ASSOCIATION

The first REME magazine was published after the end of hostilities, in January 1946. Since then it has flourished into the monthly publication known throughout the Corps ‘family’.

At present the circulation is just under 8000, peaking in October 1992 when it was 8500. This of course reflects the results of recent defence cuts. The magazine is distributed to all units with REME soldiers on strength, Institution members, subscribers and various organisations, such as our Allied Corps overseas, engineering institutions, potential officers and many more. In fact at the last count the magazine reached over 30 countries.

We welcome articles from any ex-Corps member, of any rank, who has a story to tell. We can use colour or black and white photographs, which can be returned after publication.

As well as featuring a wide and varied cross section of REME news we also include a monthly ‘Where Are You Now?’ column for those wishing to contact friends from the past and publicise forthcoming reunions.

Subscription is available at £21 UK and £25 Overseas Surface Mail (Air Mail rates available on request).
