To learn about the changing roles of men and women before, during and after the war.
A member of Museum staff will discuss the following with your group of pupils:
Children's perceptions of work done pre war by women.
When war broke out and the men went to war - what happened? Who was going to deliver the milk, drive the buses, harvest the crops, work in the factories etc.
Whilst women were working during the war what happened to their children during the day?
Using visual aids illustrate the number of uniform services they could join. Why were they needed?
ATS in case - describe job with aids and artefacts.
