To encourage an understanding of the owner of the trunk through questioning and evaluating evidence about the person and their life style. To appreciate that the documents and artefacts require careful handling.
A member of Museum staff will guide your group's exploration of the trunk and encourage your group to answer the following questions:
From which country has the trunk just travelled?
Find the full name, age and sex of the owner.
What was his job before he joined the Army?
Why did he join the Army?
Has his rank changed and if so how many times?
What does the I in IEME stand for?
Which Workshop was he working for?
In what part of the country was the Workshop?
What type of leisure activities did he do after work?
Look at the group photograph and find our soldier.
