The English 'Communication' Workshop links to the National Curriculum. In 2003 the Museum's Education Officer worked with local schoolteachers to create a workshop devised by teachers for teachers and their pupils. The three-hour workshop consists of six mini workshops and is run in the Museum's Vehicle Hall. If your group wishes to extend their visit they will be able to enjoy the Museum's Main Display Area in the afternoon.

| Simple Labels Workshop Pupils write simple labels for a variety of Museum objects and arrange them to form a display. A digital photograph can be taken of this and e-mailed to your school. |
Shadow Puppets Workshop Pupils make their own caterpillar puppets to use in the Museum's Shadow Theatre. Working in pairs, pupils perform a mimed play. The rest of the group must guess the plot. |
