The Museum's 'WW2' History Workshop, linked to the National Curriculum, was developed in 1997 in conjunction with local schoolteachers. It has been devised by teachers for teachers and their pupils. This is a three-hour workshop and takes place in the Museum's Main Building. To give the workshop a war time feel, children are asked to make a gas mask box before the visit and wear it at all times during the History Workshop. The Museum has a gas mask box template available on request. If your group wishes to extend their visit they will be able to try the Museum's quizzes in the Main Museum and Vehicle Hall.
