Venn Diagrams: Materials

Aim

To explore the properties of real objects from the Museum's collection using a Venn Diagrams with 6 overlapping circles.

 
Method

  1. Sort the objects according to the materials they are made from: Metal, plastic, paper, wood, leather and fabric (some objects are made from more than one material).

  2. Place objects in the appropriate parts on the Venn Diagram.

  3. Record their results on an Activity Sheet.

  4. Identify each of the objects by matching it with the correct Description Card which contains a brief description of the object and its use.
