The Museum's Youth Group Programme was developed in 2002 in response to demand from local holiday clubs. This is a four-hour workshop and takes place in the Main Museum and the Vehicle Exhibition Hall. If your group wishes to extend their visit they will be able to try the Museum's quizzes in the Main Museum and Vehicle Hall.

| Who Am I? Quiz Using a quiz sheet the children have to match up the descriptions on the sheet with the mannequins in the Museum. |
Soldier's Kit Bag A 1950s and 1995 uniform are mixed up together and stuffed into a soldier's Kit Bag. They identify and sort the separate uniforms by their colour and camouflage patterns. Children can try on the uniforms! |
| Build a Radio Mast Children try to build the tallest, free-standing radio mast using just 25 drinking straws. |
Giant Jenga Children take turns at removing a wooden block from the tower without making the tower collapse. |
| Build a Shelter Children are given peasticks and bin liners and tasked to build a waterproof shelter to accommodate themselves. Shelters will be tested with a watering can. (Weather permitting) |
Bug Hunt There's a bug infestation! Working in small groups the children must find as many bugs as possible hidden on the vehicles. |
| Kites Children make paper kites and fly them outside the vehicle hall. (Weather permitting) |
Drop Zone Children invent and build a solution to drop a small model truck as slowly as possible from the Helicopter Balcony, simulating an airborne vehicle drop. |
| Design a Uniform Using a variety of materials (felt, fabric, plastic and wool etc) children create a collage of a new REME soldiers' uniform designed for use in one of the following environments: jungle, desert, Arctic, space or underwater. |
