The post-war range of machinery trucks was designed to run on external power sources. During some peacetime operations it was possible to connect to a mains electricity supply but for the most part it was necessary to use generators. The smaller types mounted on two wheeled trailers were capable of providing current for light machinery and lighting in one or two vehicles.
Where heavy machinery was operated a much larger plant was usually provided mounted on a four wheeled trailer.
The 6½ KVA version is similar to the 10 KVA version, but has a lower output generator.
