This box bodied trailer contained mobile servicing plant, providing the means of cleaning and the pumping of oils and greases for the servicing of vehicles. Most large REME workshops operated such equipment mainly in the maintenance of their own vehicles.
This kind of day to day vehicle maintenance was the responsibility of vehicle operators in units but if as a part of a major repair task, a vehicle in workshops required replacement oils, the servicing trailer could provide an efficient means of carrying out the work. The equipment on the trailer was produced by the Tecalemit Company.
