May half term activitiesMake a tank and become a military detective – as part of a fun-packed programme of half-term events at the REME Museum at Lyneham.

There’s also a chance to test yourself against the best with the return of our famous Army assault course on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st of May. Challenge yourself to gain the best time around our child friendly, but challenging, assault course under the watchful eyes of the REME Corps soldiers.

On Wednesday 29th of May, it’s time to get creative and make a model tank or other armoured fighting vehicle. We’ll be using clean, recycled materials to create our Scrap Tanks. Give it a go and unleash your engineering smarts.

Throughout the week, try your hand at being a detective with our fun Tradesman’s Tools challenge. Your special mission is to help our REME Craftsman find their missing tools, lost around the museum.

This year, alongside our usual opening days of Tuesday to Saturday, we are also opening on Bank Holiday Monday.

REME Museum is at MOD Lyneham, near Chippenham, Wilts. It opens 10:00am – 4:30pm, with last entry being at 3:30pm.

The REME museum’s excellent ‘Crown Café’ will also be open throughout the holiday, serving a delicious selection of food and drinks.
