Mark your calendar for the out-of-this-world, fantastical Sci-Fi Day at the REME Museum!

Memorabilia and Displays

Are these the droids you're looking for? And is it really bigger on the inside? Discover the infinite possibilities of Sci-Fi through film props and set design, with iconic memorabilia from your favourite Sci-Fi franchises including Star Wars, Dr Who, Star Trek and more!

Here are some examples of props we've seen at previous Sci-Fi Day events. Though we can't make guarantees, expect similar props this year, plus new ones to make sure there's always something new to see!

'Real Life' Creatures

From Stormtroopers and Chewbacca to Bumblebee, get ready for a fantastical atmosphere created by 'real life' creatures from Sci-Fi worlds as they roam throughout the museum's galleries!

Cosplay

Calling all Sci-Fi fans and cosplay enthusiasts, come and be part of the excitement by dressing up as your favourite character or simply in your most 'out of this world' outfit!

For some inspiration, previous attendees included a Weeping Angel, Judge Dredd and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Star Lord!

Special Guests

Take your opportunity to meet and greet with some special celebrity guests who have key roles and credits in film, tv and audio productions, and publications!

We will be announcing guests closer to the event. Subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to find out.

Please note that guests appear subject to professional commitments and may cancel at short notice. We endeavour to update visitors of changes to guest appearances in advance but this may not always be possible.

Merchandise

Looking for something to add to your collection? Perhaps you know a 'Whovian' or 'Trekkie' and want to get them a gift they'll love?

We'll be joined by merchandising traders so you can get your hands on some exciting Sci-Fi related toys, collectibles, games and more!

Reviews

Third year running I have attended. This year as before, very well organised and as a previous reviewer mentioned, worked really well splitting the day in two. My wife came with me this year and although not a SciFi enthusiast she had a really great time especially standing with Darth and the Wookie which she thoroughly enjoyed...

... Was lovely fun and interesting wondering around the museum. Meet a wookie and the mandalorian. Pit droids too. Very good value for money.

Further Information

Tickets

Tickets will be available for morning and afternoon sessions and should be booked online in advance. We always encourage visitors to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment!

Your booking confirmation will include details of timings for arrival and departure due to health and safety restrictions and limited parking spaces.

Refreshments

Crown's Café will be open to visitors with a ticket to the event, offering a limited menu, plus tea, coffee and cake of course!

Parking

Free parking will be available in our large car park, we ask that you please reserve a parking space if you need one in advance!

Blue Badge spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis and you must have reserved a parking space online. Unfortunately we cannot reserve specific spaces in advance, so please plan your arrival accordingly.

Dog Policy

Dogs are welcome on the museum grounds but are not allowed inside the building, with the exception of assistance dogs.

We can provide water in bowls outside the cafe and by the main entrance, please just ask if these are empty!

Photography

Our staff will be taking photos and video throughout the event for use on our social media and marketing for this and future events. Please make our Reception staff aware on arrival if you are uncomfortable with this.

Please remember to bring cash with you on the day if you would like to purchase items from our special guests or trader stalls, as we cannot guarantee they will be able to accept card payments (the nearest cashpoint is Tesco Express on Calne Road).
