During my detachment to BATUS Wksp Recy Sect
I was very fortunate to be the first Cfn Recy Mech to sign for and operate the Western Star. We had instructions on how to operate and look after the vehicle by Les Ceberack of Western Star Calgary. We spent a few days adding the additional equipment need for Range Safety Vehicles, Motorola Radio, extra fire fighting equipment and storage for cold weather kit. The first photo is taken on the first day we could actually use the vehicle Note the roof marker lights in the centre changed to the Corps colours The second photo is of the first recovery task completed by Big Red and myself
