This year, 6 June 2024 will mark 80 years since the D-Day landings in 1944, which saw British and Allied troops taking part in the invasion of Normandy to liberate France.

Every year we put together our iconic Gnome Trail for the Summer Holidays. This year, we have extended and improved the trail, bringing it out early to commemorate the D-Day landings and all those who took part!

Get ready to discover the roles of different REME Trades on D-Day and the days following. Explore our galleries through the eyes of those who served, in an exciting adventure involving gnomes, history and quizzes.

This gnome trail is perfect for families, history lovers and gnome enthusiasts of all ages. The trail will be available every day (subject to opening times) from D-Day and over the entire Summer Holiday throughout our galleries. Simply pick up a trail sheet from Reception!
