This morning our Director, Major (Ret'd) Rick Henderson was pleased to present a poppy wreath on behalf of the REME Museum to be transported on the 09:02 train from Swindon to Paddington.

This train is the Poppies to Paddington train for Wiltshire and the South West, which sees local organisations and units of the Armed Forces presenting wreaths to be taken to Paddington Station in London for a Remembrance ceremony. This is part of The Veterans Charity 'Routes of Remembrance'.

Maj Henderson was joined on the platform by the Mayor of Swindon, Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Swindon Borough Councillor Jim Robbins, Army Cadets and representatives of STEAM Museum, among others.

We are proud to be part of our local community in remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of their country. Over this weekend, we remember all members of the Armed Forces who have died during service.
