Make the most of summer at the REME Museum The summer holidays are here and so are we! There will be plenty to see and do at the museum for the whole family to enjoy. Visit us and make it a day out by taking part in our summer activities and making the most of our facilities. Activities Over summer we have a range of activities for your young engineers to get involved in. Every day there will be a different activity to try out. We've provided a list of all the activities available below: Shelter building Lego engineering Magnus flyers Catapult helicopters Art fun Junk modelling Bottle rockets String telephones Activities will be available from 3 - 27 August, Tuesday through Friday between 10.30 - 12.30 and 13.30 - 15.00. Get to grips with LEGO® construction and you can build a car that will actually drive! Our social media pages will be updated regularly with the latest information on activities taking place each day. There will also be colouring sheets and decorate-your-own badges available everyday. Playpark Our brand new playpark is now open, which means your visit just got a whole lot more fun. We've got plenty of REME-themed equipment for your young ones to enjoy. The playpark can be accessed during museum opening hours from the outdoor café area or round the side of the museum building from the car park. From helicopter slides to climbing frames, there's something for everyone in our brand new playpark Crown's Café Don't forget to stop by Crown's Café during your visit for some lunch or delicious cake. Check out what's on offer in our updated café summer menu. Gnome Trail The gnomes are back! Don't forget to pick up a trail sheet at the start of your visit so you can take part in our annual gnome hunt. This year it's an Olympic Torch Relay in celebration of Tokyo 2020, so the gnomes are all carrying historic Olympic torches. Find them all for a prize! Remember to tag us in your gnome-related pictures on social media using the hashtags #REMEMuseum #gnomehunt The gnomes took over the Churchill before they got into their hiding places Come along to the museum this summer and make it a trip to remember with the family.
